Great North Swim 2026 Welcomes Coventry Building Society as Title Partner

Organisers of the UK’s biggest open water swim welcomes Coventry Building Society as their new title partner for 2026. The CBS Great North Swim returns to stunning Brockhole on Windermere from 12-14 June.

Sponsoring the Great North Swim forms part of Coventry Building Society’s commitment to making a positive difference in society. As an organisation dedicated to being a force for good - benefitting people, communities, and the environment - it recognises the power of events like the Great North Swim in bringing people together, tackling isolation and loneliness, and protecting nature's playground for future generations to enjoy.

The sponsorship is the expansion of a long-standing partnership between Coventry Building Society and organisers the Great Run Company which has seen activations at many of Great Run’s Adventure Events in previous years.

Annually the Great North Swim welcomes 7,500 swimmers and 20,000 spectators from across the country to a weekend-long celebration of open water swimming. The UK’s biggest open water swim caters for all ages, abilities and levels of experience across a variety of distances - from 250m, half mile, 1 mile, 2 mile, 5k to a marathon 10k open water challenge. There’s also the SwimRun challenge on the 13 June for those who fancy taking on an off-road running and open water adventure.

Staged in the stunning surroundings of the Lake District National Park the CBS Great North Swim will be a vibrant celebration of the local community and environment. With beautiful scenery and rich cultural heritage, the Lake District offers a stunning backdrop to this thrilling event.
